Creations of Muslim intellectuals on display in Malaysia

 If you ever wonder what an astrolab or a celestial globe looks like or trying to fathom the significance of the  Samarkand Observatory to today's world of science, wonder no more as all these will be brought to you.

  The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) has taken the initiative to bring 150 items created by Muslim intellectuals in the height of the Islamic civilisation to the Malaysian shore.

Scientific Excellence Exhibition a Success - Hanan

 The Scientific Excellence in Islamic Civilisation Exhibition held recently has been described as successful and has helped open the minds and perceptions of the public on the importance of learning science and technology.

  Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) secretary-general Datuk Hanan Alang Endut said the exhibition, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Jan 9 and Feb 14 was attended by some 250,000 people.

  "This is a testimony that the exhibition is very successful, particularly in changing the public's perception on the importance of searching for knowledge in the area of science and technology," said Datuk Hanan when launching the exhibition "on wheels" in Kota Bharu.
