Do anyone know where i can find detail of information of active and passive network device, example of active and passive network device or anything regarding of it? I just need to be more explored on this topic for a data communication and networking compettition...so i really need to master on this as soon as possible..thanks for helping in advance..
why u not use http://www.google.com to find what ever u want. try use google first and if u have get something input tell us maybe we can discuss together....
I'd tried to look for it at google, yahoo, msn, wikipedia and sourcesoge..but mostly it's not related..
From my theorylah, passive is standby device in case the primary device (active) is down. Something like thatlah dear... couldn't find it in CCIE book, muehehehe

may be ada kena mengena dgn device spt router/firewall yg ada mode High Availability .. sesetghnya ada active/active

active device - switch, hub, router(wired and wireless), etc and
passive - cable, rj jack, patch panel, punch tools etc
