Next Generation D10U GeForce Cards Specs Unveiled

Few details have been leaked regards Nvidia's upcoming next-generation graphics core, codenamed D10U.

D10U will make its first debut in 2 separate graphics cards; the high end GeForce GTX 280 (D10U-30) and the lower spec GeForce GTX 260 (D10U-20). For this new generation, Nvidia redesigned its unified stream(shader) processors to perform 50% faster than the ones used in the G90 series. GeForce GTX 280 will feature 240 of those redesigned unified stream processors and GeForce GTX 260 will carry 192.

GTX 280 ships with a 512-bit memory bus capable of supporting 1GB GDDR3 memory and GTX 260 alternative has a 448-bit bus with support for 896MB.

The new D10U series will deliver all the features found in the current G90 series and, surprisingly, it won't support DirectX 10.1. This might seem like lagging behind AMD's upcoming Radeon HD 4000 series, but it may be in the best interest of GeForce 8 and GeForce 9 cards owners that Nvidia utilizes its market position to protect them from being outdated over some minor DirectX changes.

D10U series will incorporate the PhysX stream engine into its shader engine, but no more info is available right now.

The new cards are scheduled for launch on June 18, 2008.

kalo nak pakai 8800gt boleh tapi perlu tukar proc,tambah ram dan tukar psu untuk betul2 merasa kemampuan 8800gt tuh.
ram ko tambah lagi 1gb jadi 2gb sebab game latest2 memang kelaparan ram.
proc tukar ke c2d e4600 rm380..ada bajet lebih sikit ambik c2d e7200 rm460.
psu tukar ke minimum 450w true power..acbel e2 power 510w rm180 sudah memadai.

atau sudah cukup memadai dgn guna driver dr CD time beli GC...

takde masalah pun..tapi adakah kalo upgrade driver performance akan bertambah??

mana ada macam itu tinggi, GTX200 series adalah single card saja.

GTX280 - 6 + 8 pin pci-e. Min PSU : 550W
GTX260 - 6 + 6 pin pci-e. Min PSU : 500W

aku rasa takde physx nyer chip cuma dia implement dalam CUDA-enabled geforce , 8000 series ngan gtx200 series.Memang sama pun sebab kan nvidia dah beli syarikat physX tu . Aku rasa dalam rm1.7 camtu kot (main teka je tengok price luar tongue.gif)

ur so wrong for the single GTX280.

agaim im telling u now. memang dalam benchmark score between 9800GX2 & GTX280... 9800GX2 lebih baik tapi dalam gameplay GTX280 is way much better. i managed to smoothly played crysis with very high settings AA 16X & 16AF @ 1680x1050 res.
compared to 9800GX2, memang tak boleh. even hanya high settings saja & moreover, the AA & AF cannot be turned on at all. but then still lagging on certain part. however, benchmarked wise, memang lebih baik.

so, benchmarking against real gaming are totally unreliable

SLI for me was my biggest disappointment & lousiest investment ever. go & read in the nvidia's official, http://www.slizone.com & u may see many expressed the same.

and saya akan admit sekiranya ur gtx reach over 50x fps with gtx 280 @ very high setting. @ 1680x1050

i dun even talk about synthetic benchmark.. but real world benchmark.it was FPS talk rite... not score talk.

ok... here goes,







for the above settings in nvidia control panel, saya sudah "overide any application settings" meaning, if ingame setting u AA 0, AF 0 but still it will uses your nvidia setting, coz' it has been overwritten by the nvidia control panel. ok to push my GPU to the max, i have edited the followings"-
Texturing Quality: High Quality
Force Mipmaps: Trilinear
Texturing Filter - Negative LOD Bias: Clamp.



the fps reading cannot be captured during the screenshot, so saya screenshot it during the video playback which was recorded. susah mau screenshot during the video playback, anyhow...this is 1 of the fps captured. the highest i noticed was above 67 fps.



i have no doubt with GTX280? this is best card ever after my 8800GT in SLI & 9800GX2. again, dalam crysis benchmark, memang ini GTX280 just dapat max 64 compared to my 9800GX2 was max 69

i dont see any significantly difference when the AA set to Supersampling..

oh! ok, got it.. coz' in FRAPS saya disabled the "include frame rate overlay on screenshots". this is 1 of the highest fps reading.

hehe cuba run pakai crysis bench tool.. set reso 1680x1050.. i see kak agnew letak 1280x1024 kt screenshot tu.. in game aa.. please set to FSAA 16x atau paling tidak.. FSAA is 2x.. u will see da different...



jika sama jugak cecah 50++ i admit.. u got pawah kad...

p/s ; saya hanya mahu kak agnew faham apa itu istilah max setting tongue.gif bukan very high setting. tongue.gif
