hello,im waiting 4 the maktab interview result n i've been offered pretesl in uitm shah alam.anybody wit me?

1.how many years do i hav to get bachelor of aducation(TESL) from uitm?

2.can i persue my master right after my degree,without having to teach in school 1st?if i can't,how many years do i hav to teach to take my master?

3.which is the best between TESL in uitm or maktab?

4.wat can i be other than teacher n lecturer after TESL?i heard that we could work with private companies but im not sure.

as i know...after maktab,,,we have 2 teach first....
n after degree at uitm...i think...i think we can continue our master without teaching first

if u want a guaranteed job,,maktab is the best...

there r many jobs related 2 tesl...but i'm not really sure what is it

i have a bacs degree in english language and literature, currently attached in a private company in Singapore, before that Malaysia.

personally speaking, coming from a person who has conducted quite a number of interviews, if you choose TESL, you will be stuck in the field of teaching (hence explains the 'T' in it) I dont know about government sector tho'.

Hey bro, i'm proud to say that im a IPG student (eventhough life in there is not much fun but set up your stand man, to b a teacher..that's important i guess) and yeah I'm here trynna help ya..


1- TESL in uitm is a local program and it'd take you a year for pre-degree and 4 years for degree..

2- yes, sure you can but so to say that you have to teach for 3 years at first hand as what has been stated in the agreement between you and the big BPG... but on the other hand in some special case if you manage to graduate with honor (lets say 4.0 CGPA) then most probably you'd get the offer to do your master without having to have to be transfered to school... That's a bonus yeah..but it's rare..

3- which is the best?? hmmm...i really cant figure out which ne is bcos I never went studying in uitm but IMHO TESL which is under BPG is more benifitial to students bcos you'd be given the allowance (no PTPTN) and plus it's a twin programme. (2 years in IPG, then 3 years overseas, mostly in UK).. say if one wants to experience the cold weather of Europe, then TESL maktab is the best choice..

4- for TESL course in IPG, once a teacher in training graduates, he or she of course would go out as a teacher.. if wanna be a lecturer would require you to have a second degree or Master...
