Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad and Hadhari Agro Holdings Sdn Bhd (HAHSB) formalised a joint collaboration for Celcom to provide the halal cattle breeding specialist with comprehensive machine to machine (M2M) solutions to enhance its business operations.

As the main telecommunication and solution provider for HAHSB, Celcom will provide them with M2M solutions which include mobile payment and ordering via SMS as well as vehicle tracking. HAHSB has agreed to purchase 2,000 units of Celcom’s Mobile Payment Terminals and 2,800 units of Celcom’s Mobile Ordering Terminals in the deal.

To commemorate this partnership, a special Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held during the MIHAS 2008 exhibition at the Matrade Convention Centre. Celcom’s representative at the signing ceremony was Ahmad Taufek Omar, Celcom’s General Manager of Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Services whilst Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato’ Hashim Karim, Vice President of Hadhari Agro Holdings Sdn Bhd signed on behalf of Hadhari Agro. The event was officiated and witnessed by Y.A.B Dato’ Seri Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Celcom has always been committed to provide SMEs with the best solutions to help them excel at their businesses. SMEs typically operate with limited resources thus a powerful wireless telecommunications platform is crucial for their daily business operations. With Celcom’s unbeatable network, it will help boost their business performance by increasing overall productivity with instantaneous information deliverance.

Celcom understands that each company’s business requirement is unique and the nature of their business often requires customised mobile solutions, which is why it has teamed up with Hadhari Agro to provide its M2M solutions.

With this agreement, mobile terminals which enable payments and orders to be done in real time, will be deployed for each mobile entrepreneur transporting halal meat to customers and taking supplies. The terminals will also be deployed at meat shops and district distributors nationwide. The vehicle tracking system will allow HAHSB to monitor its trucks’ locations at all times, thus, ensuring the supplies of the halal meat reach customers on time.

Hadhari Agro Holdings Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary of Hadhari Cattle Industry Sdn Bhd (HCISB), which is wholly owned by Bumiputra entrepreneurs. The main focus of HCISB is to produce fresh, clean and high quality beef. In two years, HCISB is targeting to be the wholesale supplier for beef in the country and become the entrepreneur of the cattle breeding industry in Malaysia.
