Menara TM conferred MSC Malaysia "Cybercenter" status Print EmailThe operational headquarters of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), Menara TM, was recently awarded MSC Malaysia “Cybercentre” status by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in conjunction with the 11th MSC Malaysia International Advisory Panel Meeting.
Tan Sri Dato’ Ir. Muhammad Radzi Haji Mansor, Chairman, TM received the award on behalf on the company in a ceremony held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today. “The conferment of this status means that Menara TM is now also known as ‘TM Cybercentre Complex’. That’s not all, it has become an even more viable option than before, especially for MSC Malaysia companies that choose to be closer to their customers within the Klang Valley,” said Tan Sri Dato’ Ir. Muhammad Radzi. Menara TM is an intelligent building that is 310m (1,017ft) above ground level. The building is situated on Jalan Pantai Baru, along the Federal Highway and Sprint Expressway and is served by the Rapid KL Kerinchi LRT station. Menara TM is a prestigious 6-star office complex with fully-certified facilities and infrastructure. It also boasts of a helipad, 236 meters above ground level, which was certified by the Department of Civil Aviation in May 2007. The building was officially opened in February 2003. As a full-fledged MSC Malaysia Cybercentre, Menara TM will serve as the physical commercial location of choice and provide the environment to catalyse and support the growth of ICT-enabled industries. Menara TM is set to boost the growth of new investment, particularly in ICT and knowledge-based industries, as more MSC Malaysia companies can look toward the building as a viable base of operations. Menara TM offers advanced broadband facilities in addition to the state-of-the-art office environment. These added facilities are based on MSC Malaysia standards as stipulated by the Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (“MDeC”). As a fully certified and operational MSC Malaysia Cybercentre, Menara TM has: Full broadband and Infrastructure readiness. It is equipped with the necessary network facilities to support delivery of broadband services using proven backbone and access technologies. Being a FIABCI 2004 winner under the Office Development Category and 1st runner up for the ASEAN Energy Efficiency & Conservation Award 2005, Menara TM’s latest achievement adds value to the Kuala Lumpur landmark. “This award is a recognition of Menara TM being a conducive workplace that supports the growth of ICT and ICT enabled industries.
