In conjunction with the Streamyx Carnival 2008 roadshow, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) announced the winners of the TM Rewards Loyalty Contest at the sixth Streamyx Carnival promotional roadshow held at Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya. A series of 30 Streamyx Carnival roadshows have been planned for this year.

The contest, which was previously known as the Streamyx Loyalty contest, ran from December 2007 to February 2008 and was held to reward loyal Streamyx customers with a chance to win attractive prizes. AIG also offered an optional service of complimentary Snatch Theft Insurance Coverage for the contest.

“At TM, we highly value customer loyalty. Therefore, we always make it a priority to reward our customers who are loyal in supporting our products and services. One of our most popular loyalty programmes is the Streamyx Rewards programme, which we started two years ago, in 2006. Through this programme, eligible Streamyx customers were given the opportunity to enjoy special offers and discounts for products and services provided by our partners. Since the Streamyx Rewards programme received tremendous response from our customers, early this year, we expanded this programme to include our residential fixed line customer base as well. It is now known as the TM Rewards Programme,” said Zainab Hashim, Vice President, Integrated Marketing, TM.

Targeted at customers who have been subscribing to Streamyx for at least a year, the contest required customers to answer three survey questions and followed by describing Streamyx in three creative words. A total of 4,500 entries were received and six winners were determined based on several selection criteria and slogan creativity.

The grand prize winner, Ramli Abdullah Jalal walked away with an all-expenses paid trip for two people to watch a Manchester United home match at Old Trafford, Manchester worth RM20,000 while the 5 other winners will bring home Sony products such as an LCD TV, VAIO laptop and Video Network Walkman units.

The 5 other winners are as follows:
1. 1st Prize – LCD TV: Chin Chee Thoy
2. 2nd Prize – VAIO Laptop: Elene Toh Li Kim
3. 3rd Prizes – Video Network Walkman unit each: Tan Boon Din, Aileen Kok and Joyce Perera

“TM is committed in ensuring that our customers continue to get the best deal out of the existing services. The TM Rewards Programme will continue to serve and grow along with our customer base, and we trust that customers will derive as much satisfaction from the benefits under the programme, as much as we will be satisfied in providing them,” concluded Zainab Hashim.

Streamyx Carnival is a series of roadshows, which will be organized at 30 locations nationwide from now till November 2008.
