Help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa with new red MOTOSLVR L7 Print Email
Join Celcom, Motorola and (PRODUCT) RED initiative that marries the private sector with the buying power of the public in an effort to generate a sustainable flow of private sector funds towards the fight to eliminate AIDS in Africa. Motorola continues to go global in its effort to “spread RED” and eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa with the announcement of MOTO (PRODUCT) RED in Malaysia. As the exclusive worldwide wireless partner for (PRODUCT) RED, Motorola has developed a unique MOTO (PRODUCT) RED portfolio of signature handsets each designed to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. Launching this month in Malaysia, a special red MOTOSLVR L7 will be the first in a series of MOTO (PRODUCT) RED products available to Celcom consumers. The RED MOTOSLVR L7 is available now at a recommended retail price of RM649 with a Celcom Postpaid subscription at any Celcom branch. In addition to all the features and style you would expect from a Motorola handset, the RED MOTOSLVR L7 includes a direct US$17.00 (RM63) contribution to the Global Fund, which is made each time a MOTO (PRODUCT) RED handset is purchased in Malaysia. With each sale of a MOTO (PRODUCT) RED handset, Motorola will make a direct contribution of US$8.50 to the Global Fund and Celcom will match it with another US$8.50 contribution. “MOTO (PRODUCT) RED is highlighting a true global emergency and along with our partners in Malaysia, allows us to help consumers in Malaysia take part in the Global Fund’s effort to help eliminate AIDS in Africa,” said Eric Chong, Motorola Mobile Devices Business, Country Manager, Malaysia & Brunei. “Together we have the opportunity to make a difference and create real change in the world by placing in people’s hands the ability to get involved in a meaningful way.”
The Malaysia launch of MOTO (PRODUCT) RED comes shortly after the US, UK, Singapore, and Switzerland launches, which brought an enthusiastic response from supporters of the fight against AIDS in Africa. In an unprecedented demonstration of support, 11 leading Malaysian celebrities from the industries of acting, music, broadcast, fashion and photography have also aligned
