Lenovo ThinkVision monitors go double digit EPEAT Gold

Print    Email

Lenovo recently added yet another ThinkVision monitor to its impressive, EPEAT Gold rated line-up. This is Lenovo’s 10th monitor to achieve this desirable designation. In fact, Lenovo is the only computer manufacturer in the world to have EPEAT Gold rated monitors.

EPEAT, or “Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool,” is one of the most highly sought environmental designations in the technology industry. EPEAT’s “Gold” designation means that the manufacturer has risen to that organization’s highest plateau of environmentally responsible efforts.

“Lenovo is leading the way in the current wave of environmental display improvements with the introduction of a full line up of EPEAT Gold monitors, as well as more energy efficient 17” (L174) and 19” wide (L197wide) mainstream displays,” said Eric Zhao, Country Manager, Transactional Business, Lenovo.

The latest EPEAT Gold addition to the lineup is the 20” ThinkVision L200p Wide performance monitor. It uses a 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA+) resolution panel, with a 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio and has a maximum brightness of 300cd/m2. As part of the performance range it has both VGA and DVI interfaces with HDCP support as well as a performance stand which allows the monitor to be tilted, swivelled, pivoted and for the height to be adjusted up and down by 110mm.

To achieve EPEAT Gold the L200p Wide had to adhere to 23 “must have” criteria involving eliminating environmentally harmful materials, product longevity, energy conservation, performance and more; plus 75% of various optional criteria such as using greater than 25% recycled plastics.

As well as achieving EPEAT Gold, the L200p Wide complies with EnergyStar 4.1 and TCO 03.

Pricing and Availability
The L200p Wide is priced at RM1,189. The new monitor will be available from 15th April 2008.
