What is Power Pack 1?

Power Pack 1 is a complete set of enhancements for your Windows Home Server. It combines all previous updates, fixes known issues, and adds new features to improve how you protect, connect and share your files and digital content.

What is new?

Easier remote access
  • View thumbnails of your photos when accessing them remotely
  • Drag and drop multiple files to upload from Internet Explorer 6 and 7
  • Allow remote access to only specific folders depending on the user

New backup options

  • Compatible with home computers running Windows Vista 64-bit editions
  • Back up and restore shared folders to an external hard drive
  • Automatically wake home computers from standby for energy efficient backups

Better performance and support

  • Improved file transfer performance when using multiple hard drives

Updating Windows Home Server

Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 will automatically install as part of Windows Update if Automatic Updates is enabled on the home server.
