Unlimited storage for Yahoo! Mail

Print    Email

In September last year, Yahoo! had officially rolled out the new version of Yahoo! Mail in Malaysia. The new version featured innovative online calendar integration and provides a fast, efficient experience with enhanced functionality, such as drag and drop e-mail organization, message preview and an integrated RSS reader.

Following on that announcement, Yahoo! recently officially announced that it will begin rolling out unlimited e-mail storage to Yahoo! Mail users worldwide beginning in May 2007.

By providing unlimited e-mail storage for free, Yahoo! is building on its 10 year tradition of making Yahoo! Mail an even more essential part of people’s lives. This upgrade is indicative of how important e-mail has become, and of the future need for storage due to growing interest in online activities like sharing photos, video, music and more.

Yahoo! is continuing to enhance the service to ensure it’s in line with users’ needs. In addition to storage, Yahoo! will continue to provide the industry’s best e-mail features such as built-in spam and virus protection, an integrated Address Book and Calendar.

It’s interesting to note that e-mail is the original, and largest, social network and it is now more important than ever to users. According to ComScore, Yahoo! Mail dwarfs the largest social networks in terms of unique visitors and time spent (among the 18-34 demographic).
